A long weekend here means three or more rest days in a row that include at least one national public holiday falling on a weekday. In Australia in 2026 that happens 3 times: 24 Jan–26 Jan (3 days), 03 Apr–06 Apr (4 days), 25 Dec–28 Dec (4 days). Weekends alone do not count — the streak must contain a public holiday that removes a working day.
